I’ve got an issue where my drill tool path is not following my job setup retract height, and this is leading to a bounds check issue with the z-axis when I try to run the file. It might be something else, but the simulation rapids show the cutter moving way higher than it should for just the 2 holes I’m drilling.
I’ve got a material thickness of 1.625" and my zero height is to the bottom of the stock. I’ve set my tool on machine initialization and zero’d my z-axis to the waste board.
I’ve successfully run another version of this file before, which also gave me the same bounds check alert, but I fixed it by decreasing the retract height. Now however, my program zero is 20.5mm too high, which I can’t fix with my current retract height of .25".
Pic attached (I’ll attach more pics and the file in the comments), thanks in advance for any help or tips with how to deal with this! I might end up running this in spite of the warning, with the drill operation last in case the z crash messes up the machine settings.
