It seems to say you can subtract a SVG from a 3D component in CC Pro.
I am assuming this could be an imported STL file (terrain) and a SVG (roads). It projects the SVG paths onto the STL mesh and creates an entity that you can run a tool path on.
It is up to you to align/scale the two files.
I think this is CC pro only, which I do not have.
If this works I am buying CC Pro.
Has anyone confirmed this ?
I have spent the last couple of days trying various techniques to create a 3D path without success. I know Rhino will do it, but that is a bit of a $ jump.
I tried MeshLab ( importing 2D objects not happening ).
Blender maybe an option.
I have Fusion, but you need to have the Convert to Solids enable ($) via an Add On.
That is needed to project the curve.
I have a free OnShape account, but I have an issue dumping huge polygon files to it ( I don’t want to piss them off ). The imported file needs to be resurfaced anyway to generate the 3D curve.
