Router Wire Routing

I have a question as I’m setting up my Shapeoko 5 with the VFD spindle. Is there any reason why I can’t or shouldn’t route the power wire with the other wires on the right side?
I’d rather have the controller on the same side as Vfd controller.

The VFD cabling can cause EMI in the low-voltage motor wiring which can cause a disconnect.

What about running a simple led strip power wire through the same drag chain on the left side? Would this little bit cause possible EMI issues?

Here is a good discussion on this. Not sure if the 5 would be any different.

That’s what I was worried about. I was hoping to have both controllers together.

Yeah I’ve been running my led power wire line through the left side drag chain without issues so far but I was just curious.

I myself being a musician as well with lots of tube amps, pedals, gear and more I’ve always gone to great lengths to avoid EMI but I wasn’t sure if there was an issue here as well.

Do you have dust collection? I routed the power line along the dust collection hose.

Bought my 3xxl used from a buddy and was having a lot of disconnect issues, been fighting grounding everything and nothing was working it dawned on me that he told me he had run an extension cord down the tracks so he didn’t have to rerun the cord with new routers well I used to do alot of wiring in a factory and that was a huge no no with all the vfd’s and inverters we had so I just took all the extension cord out and ran it up and over to an outlet elsewhere and I didn’t have a disconnect in 10 hours so I’m gonna say that may have been a big contributing factor to my disconnect errors
