Run the spindle manually

When I level my spoil board, I turn the spindle on manually and then jog the machine to level the board. I just tried to do it now and if I turn the spindle on in the MDI tab and then job the machine, the spindle turns off. I can see why this might be a safety measure, but this is how I’ve done it since my S03…

I level the board manually because its faster and easier than setting up a tool path to do it. Is there a way to turn this off?

It’s not a safety feature, it’s a nanny feature.
If they were that concerned with that level of safety, they wouldn’t be selling a CNC machine in the first place.

I have to agree. I do a bunch of “manual machining” where I want to just turn on the spindle & jog the machine to cut something, whether it be surfacing a piece of stock, or even end cutting something to a specific dimension. It would be very annoying to have the spindle shut off after a jog move.
