Ok so I am having a problem running a surfacing program 2 times. I run the initial program with zero problems BUT then I flip my board then re-zero but when I begin the program it runs at the old height. What am I missing? Appreciate any help so I don’t have to turn off the machine and wait 15 minutes to re-initiliaze and start over.
Are you re-zeroing the Z height? What was the max depth on the program when you programmed it?
How are you setting the zero? What is the Z value in the readout when it’s running?
I am sure I am doing something wrong. When it is done I simple use the bit zero and redo that then tell it to start program.
I did the same thing yesterday. Moved Z down to set zero using the paper method but forgot to click on the Z Zero button in CM. Oops…
That should work, since the surface you are zeroing from is now lower.
I would sanity check it after the bitzero & touch off the stock to make sure it’s at Z zero.
Then maybe move off the stock & make sure the Z axis will go any deeper, at least as deep as you intend to cut.
