Afternoon! Bit of a random one. I’ve been using the S5Pro since almost release. Typically cutting aluminium. Hundreds of hours of cutting with little to no issues.
I’ve come across a weird one. Some unusual stepping on the part but only on one side and only to a certain depth then it seems to correct itself. The width of the part once correct is spot on.
Doesn’t seem like stepping as such? Bit weird.
Any suggestions?
Using the 65mm VFD etc 4x4 bed.

Try a new sharp tool?
Linear rails/blocks properly lubricated?
They’re just square plates really. 12mm thick. Was using an older tool for roughing.
Pretty well maintained but certainly close for some TLC. I’ll try giving the linear rails a once over but it’s a bit random as the steppers are pretty beefy and you’d hear it if they were pulling?
Have you been keeping it lubricated?
