I traced an image in CC without any problem. Then I made a number of changes to the traced image to clean it up. Is there a way to save the image to a format that I can use to convert to an STL file so I can import it back into CC and make a 3D design?

If you have vector outlines you can just use them to directly model in 3D in Carbide Create Pro:
