Unfortunately, Carbide Create does not have touch-friendly controls.
When I have my convertible in tablet mode I work around this by zooming out, selecting things in the region I wish to work on (or if need be, drawing a circle or rectangle or line) and using View | Fit View to Selection
Alternately, I’ll open it up, then use right-click on the trackpad to pan.
