Select Tool in CC 'Select Tool' pop-up window

Would it be reasonable to ask if the default ‘Material’ option in the Select Tool pop-up window:

…defaults to the material selected in the Job Setup pop-up window:

It would give a visual prompt when selecting a tool, although I appreciate a user should check everything several times, which becomes easier with experience.
