anyone have made a change of the steppers motor for servo motor.
Looked, expensive, couldn’t come up with a benefit that justified it.
I also love the idea of putting servos on my XXL, but there is little value, the gains you get with servos are that you get a lot more torque at high speed, which is of little use to the shapeoko, and better positioning accuracy/no lost steps. On something like the stock shapeoko you can’t really push it hard enough to lose steps as it isn’t rigid enough
