I am trying to figure out how to change my machine from using the lower left on my bedsitter to using the upper left. I am doing a oversize sign.
Do you mean for the origin for a job in Carbide Create?

Yes, so what I am trying to do is a 5 foot sign so I want to start everything on the top left and go down with my file. I have words at the top of the sign and at the bottom of the sign, trying not to have to move my machine all over the place
The process is as simple as Will describes. In the setup change the Toolpath Zero to Top-Left.
Then set your zero to the top-left corner of the part on the machine.
If you are using a bitsetter, you will need to measure XY and Z separately.
I feel this is truly arbitrary & ‘user preference’. You can set zero wherever you want as long as the design & the machine match when you cut. You can type values into the position fields rather than clicking “Set to Zero”. So you could still use lower-left in CC. And when you are cutting the top portion of your sign, zero to the top-left corner & then type in 60.000" in the Y field. This assumes that your stock is EXACTLY 60.000"
If you use the “Tiling” feature in CC, you should always use the lower-left zero. That’s how the tiling feature is set up.
