Setting up a 3D file from Etsy

Given a purchased 3D file from Etsy:

this is set up to cut in Carbide Create by first setting up the Stock to match the design/the size at which it is to be cut:

Then, import the STL

adjusting the settings as desired:

verifying the 3D preview:

then right-click and trace the design:

which may be offset by the diameter plus 10% of the tool which will be used for the 3D roughing toolpath:

Apply

Then a 3D roughing toolpath set up:

with a suitable tool selection.

Then, a 3D Finishing toolpath may be set up, repeating the process, first outlining from the original geometry:
