Setting up a paragraph

What is an efficient way to set up a paragraph of text to be carved. Specifically I am carving a bible verse.

I wasn’t sure if I should just add a text item for every line and then try to line things up. My fear is it would be difficult to evenly space the lines horizontally.

Set a text object with the desired text parameters where you want the bottom line, then use the Linear Array tool to duplicate that text object with consistent spacing, then edit each text object and paste in the text of each line.

Or, use a 3rd party tool to set the text, save it as a PDF or SVG, open that file in a vector editor such as Inkscape, convert the text to curves, then save/export as an SVG and open/import that in Carbide Create.

Type your text lines as you like.
then align vectors
should be able to align and space as needed

Carbide Create aligns by the geometric extent of a given text object — aligning thus will be inconsistent unless all lines have the same geometric extent (i.e. have caps/lowercase characters which project below the baseline)

Will, you are correct. Plus, you can’t equal space text as you can vectors.
I just found this out. Then I tried this. Create a rectangle around each line text, using the top and bottom of your caps. Group the text and the rectangle. Align and space the rectangles. Then delete the rectangles.
