Why is the setup manual not the same as the software? I am going through the setup for the bitsetter on my Shapeoko Pro and it’s asking me to press buttons on screens that are not there in the software. The images in the manual both here and online do not show the same thing even though I am where it wants me to be. Is there a different version that I need to use?

THANK YOU, this was exactly what was needed. Turns out the manual that is shipped with the machine is different from what the software shows and thus the confusion. The requirement to NOT enable the bitsetter during initial setup was the wrong advice, once I enabled that in the initial setup, it worked flawlessly. Thank you again.
C3D and the forum are very helpful with support. However their manuals and videos get out of date fast. For one thing they are making updates all the time. You are not the first person to notice that documents do not match what they have in front of them. So in one way C3D is advancing on many fronts but on the other hand they move at a very slow pace updating things.
If something in:
does not match the currently available version, or is otherwise in error, please let me know, but note that there is an error intentionally left in the page on Carbide Motion because no one has needed to read to the end of a page which is an endless series of statements such as:
…click Connect to Cutter to connect to your machine
