While it’s quite straight-forward to make MDF filler strips on an XL: Geometry isn’t so kind on an XXL or Standard w/ their essentially square bed. That said, it’s a lot easier to just cut slats using a table saw or track saw and then use transfer punches and drills/countersinks to make the holes using a slat as a template.
