I received my bitsetter yesterday, installed today. I enabled and set the location. The light doesn’t come on when manually pressing the button. When initializing the machine, after the homing cycle it says to install tool. Then after clicking resume, it goes to the bitsetter location and lowers but does not stop. I am pretty certain it is a wiring issue, after doing a little reading i flipped the plug from the extension wire to the switch over and the light did finally come on. How hard is it to switch the pins in the plug to the board on the extension wire?

It should have been possible to check the functionality of the BitSetter when running the Machine Setup Wizard:
https://carbide3d.com/hub/docs/shapeoko-setup/
It should work to power up, connect, go to Settings | Debug, then test things to see what shows up under “Input Pin State”:

Yes, when on that screen and you push the button, nothing happens. Ive tested all of the other sensors by waving a allen wrench in front of them and they all light up and register.
Disable the Bitsetter, take photos of how the BitSetter is wired up and connected, and send them in to support@carbide3d.com and we’ll work out how to handle this.
