Shapeoko 4XXL t track distance

What is the precise x axis distance center to center on the Shapeoko 4XXL t track? I’m trying to make a jig with holes for the bolts but I’m a hair off and they aren’t lining up correctly. Thank you.

This will vary based on the manufacturing tolerances of the MDF filler strips and how snuggly the aluminum extrusion is nestled between the MDF.

I’d recommend enlarging all but one of the holes to slots and using the single round hole as the key to positioning and use a square to line it up w/ the structure of the machine.

Thank you - I’m looking for the center to center on the actual metal t track frame. But that’s a good recommendation for the larger holes minus the one snug one, thank you.

Oh, for those see:

Actually, for an SO4, the T-track should be on center based on the machined holes (thought you were asking after a 3) — I believe this distance is 4" (or the metric 100mm) — it’s different for the SO5 Pro (4.04" I believe) and maybe the HDM has yet another distance.

Thank you for all of the information! Have a good weekend

I placed my bitzero on the front corner of each slat then probed with the straight pin as the bit, this allowed the machine to measure the location of each slat and then I averaged the offset of each.

Thank you - I’ll have to play around with this option as well. I appreciate the feedback!

For my shapeoko 4XXL the distance center to center on the t rails was 10cm (3.937”) center to center. Fit like a glove when I cut the new jig. Just figured I’d post my findings - thank you for the suggestions and replies!
