I was running a job , and the piece of wood that was clamped came loose and my 1/8” endmill bit got stuck in the wood, now the machine Willnt home, machine will not initialize either, also when you shut the machine off the z axis spindle falls down from the weight
Any one now how to fix this.?
For the not homing, power down and slowly/gently move the machine to the center of motion for each axis, then measure the diagonals — is everything still square?
If not, loosen hardware, adjust for squareness, and then re-tighten.
Once everything checks out, pull the gantry up flush against the front endplates, then power up and try initializing.
If that doesn’t work, check in at support@carbide3d.com (and let them know you’ve done the above).
Not sure what you mean by gently pull the machine to center of motion on each axis .?
