Hello,
I forgot to initialize my machine. got a warning msg that I ignored. Now it will not respond at all. I attempted to correct it myself by loosing the motor and moving the carriage over manually to no avail. I thought that it was no longer binding, the machine could re initialize but that didn’t work.
thanks soooo much! Ken
Restore things as they were, then power down and slowly/gently move the machine to the center of motion for each axis — for the Z-axis, move it all the way to the top, then back to the bottom, then to the middle.
Power up, connect to the machine and re-run the Setup Wizard:
https://carbide3d.com/hub/docs/shapeoko-setup/
and in the course of doing that, test the homing switches.
Let us know what you find out, and what happens step-by-step when you try to initialize.
Ok did that but it still gives msg that the mach cannot pull off the limit switch
When I test the switches, the y switch stays on.
thanks for your help! ps what confuses me is when the problem occurred, the mach jammed to the left. as far as I can see there is only one on the right
If the homing switch is stuck on, then it will probably need to be replaced.
Please check in with the folks at support@carbide3d.com who will be able to work through verifying that with you and how to handle it.
