I love the auto release feature of DeWalt collets as it’s far faster and you never have to use pliers to remove a stuck end mill. I had ordered a Makita router years ago when I first started milling Aluminum to have 10k rpm as an option but after comparing the collets side by side. I never even mounted the Makita I just sent it back and started my Aluminum cutting journey at 18k on the DeWalt and have had zero regrets.
