Im looking to put a lazer upgrade on my shapeoko 4 XXL. The problem is i dont know anything about lazers. What would be the best option.
Several people in the community (including myself) bought laser modules from JTech photonics, which provides kits specifically aimed at the Shapeoko:

First and foremost you should decide whether you want a laser to engrave things, or to cut things. They require very different power (and budgets)
Make sure you learn about eye safety too, this is of paramount importance especially for an add-on module to be installed on a machine that was not originally designed to do this.
