Shapeoko pro 5 spindle 220v European

Hey guys I just bought the shapeoko pro 5.

I’m based in Paris.

Just wondering if there is a spindle I can use European version?

New to cnc but I have a carpentry business.

Exciting times.

I would appreciate any tips that come my way.

Hi Guys, I just found that Maffell got two new spindles out with a manual quick tool change. FM 1000 PV-WS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1cJW_xCCQs what you are thinking about ? did some of you is already using Maffell spindles ? The only thing that keeps me away from this are the Brushes… i am using a Chinese spindle and that thing performes super and it is very quiet even with air cooling im around 60db. (without load) But a missing tool change always bothers me… what are you thinki…

It’s pricey, and problematic in terms of dust collection (still working that out).

The Carbide 3D 80mm VFD should also work in Europe — if you have access to a suitable power outlet.

power outlet should not be an issue. the plug of the VFD is a standard IEC 60320 C13/C14 connection (widely used for PCs), and any such a cord with a french plug ( CEE 7/5 or 7/6) will work.
