hi im trying to connect to shapeoko pro xxl and on first screen the connect to cutter isent lit any ides please
I opened CM without my machine connected. It tells me that I cannot see my machine. Do you get a similar message or just the “connect” is not highlighted. If you get the cannot see machine message then it could be a usb problem either in the OS or the cable or the machine is not turned on.
So power on Shapeoko, connect usb. Go into your OS settings and see if the usb connection is there was the proper driver. If that is ok then do you get a beep when connecting the usb cable to controller (windows) that a connection is established. Take off the controller cover and see if you have any lights. Take a picture of what the board looks like. Post that here or send it to support.
If those things are ok then contact support@carbide3d.com to get some help.
I take out the usb and the pc makes a noise to say it is connected as well as the cannot connect button is not lit it won’t allow me to open settings or do anything else
This is a long shot but uninstall CM. Then right click on the install icon and install for all users. It could be an OS permission problem. In Win 10 you could install for all users. In my Win 11 the option is to run as administrator. Try that to see if it helps. The act of reinstalling might update the drivers that C3D uses to connect to CM.
