M while traveling y Shapoko Pro keeps loosing its X axis zero point. At times it seems to chatter and skip some cogs in the belt while traveling at higher speeds but other times it seem to loose it for no reason attached are some pics. I wasn’t able to download a video. I remove the cog belt and the router moves back and forth very freely, I adjusted the tension on the cog belts and it seemed to work for a while but has once again started to give me problem. Anyine ever had this issue that could help me out? Thanks
Eric
Have you checked that the pulley is properly secured to the motor shaft?
Two screws, both tight, one over the flat of the motor shaft.
Put a mark across the pulley / motor shaft, so you can see if the pulley is rotating on the shaft.
Sounds like the wiring harness connector for the X-axis motor is likely not connecting 100% of the time.
You can easily check by jogging the X-axis & flexing/wiggling the X-axis motor connector while it moves - if it stops/stutters/makes grinding noise, then that confirms the connector is not providing a solid connection.
You can try securing it with zip ties - make sure it’s not being strained by anything else like vac hose or the sides of an enclosure - & some people have zip tied the two sides of the connector together so they can’t vibrate apart.
Ultimately you will have to test that you have secured it in such a way they it is reliable again.
You could also contact C3D support for a new wiring harness if your machine is still under warranty.
I had both my X & Z motor connectors give me problems on my SPROXXL - and not at the same time either.
Turns out it was a lubrication issue on my X axis bearings. I lube them up and its working perfect.
Thank you all again.
