You can get a lot done w/ a Makita as a spindle — did a bunch of projects using mine on my Shapeoko 1 and 2.
I actually went out and bought the Makita but then needed an extension cord. Extension cords I found I felt would jack up the drag train. So I am going to return the makita and wait on the spindle. Should ship on Monday. Thanks for the input.
Not sure why C3D would ship body with no heart! Trying to be patient.
Folks w/ the shorter cord on the Makita usually run it up to the ceiling and plug into power up there, securing things so that the connection won’t be jostled.
