Do any of you have speeds and feeds figured out for using a compression bit in half inch to three-quarter inch fir plywood? Is that something you can do in one pass just wondering.
What machine and Z. I suppose an SO5?
Carbide 3D sells two compression tools:
and the Amana #46170-K .25" 2 flute compression cutter
Try those settings as a starting point?
What little bit of ply I have cut I run two paths. The first with an offset and the second with the compression bit full depth with remaining stock to remove of 0.02”.
I only have the 65mm spindle and have no need to try and perform full thickness cuts in one pass.
