CM is fine…

…so I’m quite sure it’s not the settings on the PC, but then what do I know?

maybe try and play with the “High DPI” options in the file properties ?

Not exactly the answer, but it led me in the right direction!
The setting I actually changed in the property sheet was the Program DPI rather than the High DPI scaling override (which didn’t work very well):
