SO5 - Could not find limit switch within search distance

Hello,

I’m a bit worried I’ve screwed something up on my SO5. I was installing a dust hose bracket and disconnected my Z-stepper to feed the cable through a hole in the bracket. After reconnecting and initialising the machine, I’m getting the error in the title.

When I power on, I get a little whine from the machine (as normal) but I’m not hearing the steppers lock.

I’ve tried all the steps in:

I can’t connect to machine or jog it (though I don’t think this quite applies, I can connect to the machine)

I’ve also tried restarting the machine and Carbide Motion, and also tried pressing the reset button on the front of the controller, and also deleting the machine from CM and re-adding it.

No joy so far. I’m hoping I’ve missed something simple and haven’t fried my machine

Has anyone had a similar issue?

Let us know at support@carbide3d.com and we’ll work out how to handle this.
