Looking at a Nomad, would like to have the same software for my current CNC’s which I rarely use cuz the software sucks. Anyone put a Sparkfun Shapeoko board on a Chinese CNC to both get a board with reasonable documentation and have the same software everywhere?

I’m afraid that the Sparkfun Stepoko board represents something of a no man’s land. The intention for it is to be used with Shapeoko machines for folks who want an opensource controller option — if it is used to control other machines that’s fine, but we can’t support that to the extent that we do our own machines.
