Spindle choice for UK Shapeoko 4 users

I’ve seen a number of posts on this but I want to address UK Shapeoko owners specifically - I am looking to upgrade to a spindle from my Makita trim router mainly due to the noise reduction. Ideally I would want the Carbide 65mm option but that is 110V only so I would need a step down transformer. Have any of you sourced alternative 65MM 220V spindle from elsewhere and successfully configured it to work seamlessly with the Shapeoko?

I was looking at the Fox Alien Fox Alien Spindle one but I have no idea on wiring and VFD configuration - anyone used it?

FWIW, I actually run a transformer in 110V–220V step-up mode to allow me to use:

Hi Guys, I just found that Maffell got two new spindles out with a manual quick tool change. The only thing that keeps me away from this are the Brushes… i am using a Chinese spindle and that thing performes super and it is very quiet even with air cooling im around 60db. (without load) But a missing tool change always bothers me… what are you thinki…

well had a good read of that thread and the issue I think will prevent me going down that route is the mounting to the Z axis - I’ve never done any metal work ( Although I do have a Makera Z1 on order so…)
