The metal collar (?) came loose on my 65mm spindle. It’s the metal ring right above the collet that screws onto the body of the spindle. When it was loose, there still wasn’t any play in the spindle, operationally it seemed fine. I was able to screw it back on but only hand tight. Ran it again and it came loose again.
I wasn’t having much chatter, and it seemed to come loose with no chatter.
I figure I can take a channel lock and tighten it a bit more, hoping that’ll fix it.
Anyone else having this issue, or any suggestions to fixing it?
