I wanted to check in with the community here about something I noticed.
I was trying out some new toolpaths with a new bit I wasn’ familiar with so during one cut I made use of the stop button on the pendant (the ones made by Carbide 3D). It stopped the cut and the spindle spun down. When I moved to the laptop, I saw that Carbide Motion had disconnected so i reconnected and surprisingly, I saw that spun up the spindle for a second or two. That feels like a unexpected outcome and I wanted to check on that.
The spindle doesn’t spin up if I connect to the machine after its been powered down for example.
I can do more troubleshooting if needed but wanted to check if this was expected behavior… and I would think it shouldn’t spin the spindle.
