45 degrees, sunny no wind.
Broke out the leaf blower, opened the garage door and did some dust removal.
2" of snow and ice tomorrow

Wow. Hate to tell you but here in East Texas we are going to hit 85 degrees today. All of our early blooming plans are blooming. Dogwood, Red Bud, Daffodils and a lot of small flowers in the yard.
The pictures were all taken in the last 2 weeks.
Sorry but not sorry. I love the warm weather. The only bad side is the mosquitos are already out. Winter’s back is broken here. With the time change coming up YEA!!!
A few weeks ago I went over to a friends shop. I had my black cowboy hat on and opened the door to his shop. He was blowing dust and it looked like a snow storm. I backed out and went and put my hat in the truck.
My daffodils are about 1" tall in the only area that the snow had melted. All good.
A CNC, table, AND a car! All in the same shop? Color me jealous ![]()
Get that car out of there. I haven’t opened my garage door in 10 years.
I had to open my shop door today to warm it up! It was about 20 degrees warmer outside than in. I always love this time of year ![]()
Um, I’ve been talking to my power company on averaging my shop’s electric bill since the air conditioners have been coming on since February. ![]()
I’m losing shop time, because now the dang grass needs mowing … again! ![]()
Mowing is the WORST! Especially when it takes away from shop time in the WINTER!!
Mowing is like practicing making tool paths, but on the lawn
When we owned a house I would do that. One time a raster in X, the next time a raster in Y, the next time an outline contour offset… Just for the variety…
It’s also good to cut the grass differently so that the lawn doesn’t develop a “grain” (see episode Magnum P.I. where the titular character gets chewed out for mowing the grass in the same pattern as was observed the week before).
Ok. I confess to a 4 pattern sequence.
Front/Back, Side/Side, Corner/Corner and Opposite Corner/Corner .
Whew, that skeleton is out of the closet.
When I was a kid my older brothers had to share the mowing duties half and half.
One time one brother completed his “half” and let th other brother know it was his turn. First brother had indeed cut 50% but it was in the shape of his name. After recutting the whole yard the older brother beat him up.
Not much could slip by Higgins unnoticed.
