What are some recommendations for cutting stars feeds, plung dept. Since I done the new update on carbide create can’t get my stars looking right. Does anyone have a suggestion.
This looks like your surface is not level — have you trammed your baseplate?
That’s what I thought too, but these starts I did right before the update. Still did my waste board over and gonna try again.
Possibilities are:
- V endmill angle mismatch — is the tooling definition correct?
- Z-origin in file doesn’t match how it was setup relative to the stock — did that match?
- change in how Carbide Create generates the file — do you have the previous .nc file and and new one to compare?
- Z-axis steps/mm have changed — which Z-axis do you have and what is your setting for $102?
