I’m having trouble with my stars. I’m using a 1/4" 90 degree v-bit. I’m zeroing using the paper method, and I’m carving using CC vcarve feature. I have a video that won’t load to show the process, but essentially the first pass with the v-bit would be perfect, but the machine goes in for a second and 3rd pass. What am I doing wrong?

Here is the preview pathway. It seems like if it would just cut the red line, I would be in good shape, but it comes in and cuts the green line as well.
Did you add that 90º tool into CC or did you select a tool that was already in there? It sounds like a mismatch between the tool’s angle and how deep the tool is going.

what are your depth and feedrate setting?
