STL Cut out Help Needed

I just downloaded CC8 and was able to import a STL of a picture frame, I was able to set the 3d toolpaths to cut out the shape ( not a bid deal for many on you but momentous for me) but can’t figure out how to cut out the center of the frame.

Can anyone direct me on what I need to do?
The file was too big to upload. Dropbox

I would create a custom vector inside the frame and do a pocket cut in the area you want to be removed.

One suggestion is to take a “snipe” of the STL in CC and then use that to do a line trace.

Delete what you don’t need

Then Resize to fit

Here you go.

Use the Model → Create Outline Vectors to cut a section through the model. Delete the vectors you don’t want. Use the center section vector to create a pocket toolpath at the depth you need.
