Swapped connectors?

I started to assemble my Shapeoko Pro and got hung up on Step 3.1 - Install Front Right End Plate.

The 4-pin grey wire (power button) is fine, but I think the 3-pin connectors for the BitSetter on the black wire are backwards. Additionally, one of the wires has pulled out of the connector.

I’m guessing the easiest way to fix this would be for me to just swap the connectors. Is there some special tool I need to use to pull those off?

Definitely contact support@carbide3d.com about this

Those exposed silver parts are the springs that release the pins. Tug on the wire and gently push down on the silver clip to release the pin from the connector. If the wont latch pin reinstall gently pry the latch up, do not over do the latch bending.

I was able to swap the white connector by releasing the pins. However, the black connector doesn’t have any silver clips. It’s a Molex connector, so the pins are locked in there and I’d need a special tool to release the pins. Might be able to get something small like a paperclip in there and attempt to pry them out.

I sent an email to support. Hopefully they’ll just send a new wire.

I had the same problem when i got my machine. I didn’t have any broken wires though.
I just filed off the indexing tab and reversed the plug and it worked fine.

They did send me the correct cable but i already had it fixed and didn’t feel like snaking a new cable through the drag chain.

I can’t complain too much. Carbide 3D responded to my email right away and sent a new wire overnight. I was able to finish most of the assembly while I waited.
