Switching between Carbide Motion and Lightburn

Picked up a JTech 27w to use on my 5 Pro 4x4 and have been having issues ever since installing Lightburn.

I am having issues when going between CM to Lightburn, often time Lightburn says port is in use. I have unplugged the usb cable, plugged in back in and issue follows. I have rebooted the PC and still has issue sometimes. Turning off the Shapeoko sometimes resolves it. I have also had to re-initialize the Shapeoko in CM a few times. (In lightburn I do have the “Use CNC” button to set the settings back.) Of the times I have got it resolved, there was no clear reason of what resolving it, other then just keep trying. Going back to Carbide Motion I also get issues with unable to connect, but it doesn’t seem to happen as frequently as it happens in lightburn.

When switching between software, I always make sure the other software is shutdown, confirming it in the task manager etc. Also, I have used process explorer and checked that the usb device handle is not open by any process between.

Prior to this I have been using the 5 for a month without issue with this PC and cable. Issues have just started since using Lightburn.

Any ideas whats going on? Is there a sequence I should be using when going between these? My next step is to use lightburn on a second PC and just move the cable back and forth and see if the problem follows. Also, uninstalling lightburn from the Carbide PC and see if there is any driver conflicts etc.

Windows 10 current patched, current version of CC, CM and Lightburn
