An older website that’s been ‘recently rediscovered’ does a pretty good job of generating text that look like handwriting - much better than script fonts, in my opinion.

And here’s a script like font. It doesn’t have the variation that the text above has, but it works just like any other font so you can have text objects instead of text ‘pictures’.
