I am in the process of upgrading my S3 standard to the HDZ which required me to upgrade the control board to support the proximity sensors which use 3 pin connectors.
My third party probe has a two pins connector.
I wondering if anyone managed to re-use such probe with the 3 pin connector.
Base on the wire colors of the proximity sensor it seem that the layout is
ground | +5V | signal
The colors are misleading. Black is Signal, Blue is Ground.
You’ll need to change your connector.

The old two wires third party probe works perfectly with the latest carbide3d controller 3 wires connector.
I installed the probe splitter because i want to try a needle style probe
