I ordered the 1/4" ×13mm threaded inserts from carbide. Can anyone link me to the screws you guys are using in conjunction with these? Thanks a ton!
I went with about 10 of each size of 18-8 SS 1/4-20 SHCS from McMaster-Carr in lengths from 1" through 3.5" in 1/4" increments, plus 4", and 4.5" lengths.
I also use a thick washer to prevent the screw head from tearing up the aluminum clamps.
That’s a bit extreme for most people, so I would just figure out what clamps you are going to want and then figure out what fasteners you are going to need for materials in the 1/4" through 1" thicknesses. Different clamps require different fastener lengths. Some clamps I have (Incra Build-It Clamp) need a 2.5" screw to hold a piece of 1/4" plywood. Some clamps I have (Thorlabs CL5A) need a 1.5" screw to hold a piece of 1/4" plywood.
