Tiger Claw Clamps

There is no reference to the Tiger Claw Clamps being available for purchase. Is this a short time problem or are they gone for good?

Are the Crush-It Pro clamps not suitable?

I have not tried them, but I like the Tiger Claw’s having an ability to screw them in tighter. Butt them up to the work and then tighten them down. I don’t think that the Crush It can do that (I do have the plastic version of them and they can’t be tightened after you tighten them to the table).

The Crush-It and Tiger Claw both have the functionality — just on the latter it’s done directly, while on the former the tightening screw pushes the head down against an angled part — if you secure the clamp body with the tightening screw loose and the head as far back on the clamp body as one can there is quite a bit of room for the head to potentially move.

Thank you. I hadn’t noticed that feature on the plastic ones I have. Assumed you just put them up as tight as you could get them to the project and tighten them to the table.

I bought the Crush-It Pro Clamps this late spring and l love them, especially when flattening (surfacing) wood. They work great.

The Tiger Claws were discontinued in favor of the Crush-It Pro’s. The Crush-It’s are mechanically simpler/foolproof, provide comparable functionality, offer more flexibility in clamping heads (serrated & smooth), include stop blocks to use on the opposite side, and are cheaper. For the vast majority of people, it’s an easy win.
