Tiny VFD terminals?

I recently started ordering parts for my spindle upgrade for my 4XXL - I read a bunch of posts regarding this process and I settled on a water cooled 2.2KW spindle with an H100 VFD.

While I don’t really need a 2.2KW spindle, I wanted the noise reduction as my CNC runs pretty much all the time when I’m in the shop and I wanted the option for largers bits with the ER20.

I figured to over spec as I am beginning to realize that owning a CNC is a constant upgrade process so for future proofing I went with the larger spindle.

So here is my question - I looked at the H100 and the connection terminals are tiny - if this device is supposed to be handling 2.2KW it seems that those tiny terminals are far to small for the currents required.

I have a pretty decent understanding of electricity and electronics but not much experience with VFDs

Am I missing something?

Maybe. Post some pictures. Only the motor is running at 220v and all the vfd is on logic signals which do not have much current. I would hope/trust that the OEM of the spindle has made the electrical components are up to the task. Maybe see if there are any forums about your spindle and see if there are any reported issues with the terminals over heating from excessive current. The forumula for watts is w=v x a

So 2200W = 10A X 220V so at maximum power you should only be pulling 10 amps. 10 Amps is not that much in the big scheme of electrical power but is enough to kill you if you get a good hold of it. I suspect that the spindle will not run at maximum amperage very often so you will be pulling substantially less than 10 AMPs when running. However most electrical circuits are made to run at maximum advertised amperage/voltage.
