In Carbide create when I go to select a tool I see this list.
But when I go into help, about, open data directory, carbide create, tools I see a completely different list of tools and it seems to be missing most of the tools. See screen shot
The filename is formatted <name>-<machine>-<material>.csv
The pulldowns at the top of the tool list has machine & material filters.
You have “Shapeoko” selected, so it’s only showing you the libraries with shapeoko (or any) in the part of the name.
Change the filter to “Any” and you’ll see all the libraries.
That not the issue. The issue is when I go to file location for the tool database it does not show the correct information there.
Only user libraries are present as .csv files.
If you wish to modify one of the default libraries you will need to duplicate it and edit the duplicate.
Please take a look at the two screen shots in my original email. I do not think you seeing what I am trying to say about the tool database. Inside carbide create I see one set of tools. When I view the tool database folder the list is different.
What I am trying to do is import the carbide tool database into vcare pro
Will is correct, the Carbide libraries are built into the binary, they are not in the user directory.
There is no common tool database format so you cannot import a library into one program from another.
