I want to try an inlay and created this file. On the toolpaths, the male version’s sun rays are pocketed completely out, except for 3 rays. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?
Thanks

I have put this in as a bug report.
Thank you. I have had this happen before. Then I would just make a separate tool path for the problem area, but with this being an inlay I wasn’t sure about doing that.
What will the bug report do?
The bug report will put it on our radar to be looked at as a test case when that feature is next being worked on.
Here is a work-around:
Measure the narrowest region which must be worked with:
Select the surrounding geometry:
Offset to the outside:
Apply
Deselect the geometry which you wish to keep:
Delete the balance
Inset a bit more:
Apply
Use that geometry for the toolpath:
Then duplicate the toolpath and use the outer geometry:
That worked, thank you. I guess now I need to duplicate this new male piece and flip it for the female because of the offsets?
Actually duplicating/flipping this new piece messed up the female tool path.
Yep, it worked! I copied/flipped after I made the original tool paths. I thought by disabling the original tool path it would still work. I deleted all the tool paths and started over and it worked. Rookie mistake, but I am a rookie! Thank you for all your help.
