Oh Ye of the ToolPath Gods. Please help me with a toolpath.
I created a V-Carve toolpath but when I run it, it doesn’t plunge into the workpiece. Would you kindly look at the file and tell me where I’m missing it?
Thanks!!!
Jim

The file has your Z Zero as Top-of-Stock. Are you setting the Z there, or are you setting the Z as the wasteboard?
EDIT - Nevermind, this reversal would actually cause wildly deep plunges, not air cutting.

If you set the Start Depth to .02 up to about .05, you will get a nice carve, if you must use the 90-degree vbit.
If this were my project, I’d use a 30-degree V-bit.
This is with a 90 and a .02 start depth
Here is it with a 30 degree v bit, with 00 start depth.

Hi Anthony,
Thank you so much!!!
I’ll have to get a 30 degree V bit.
