Zero Z probe position
Zero X,Y,Z probe position
Make sense?
Yep, confirmed.
Put it on the corner, but up on top, not overhanging.
Not sure if you looked at the editable file, but you’ll see there’s a lip left at full height.
So, I put it in that spot. Picture included.
Still too deep.
Going to retry, and manually zero.
Another tip, when you Zero on top, you can put it closer to the middle of the work piece, sometimes, the sides are milled round at the sawmill to remove the sharp edges and it could influence the height just a bit since the edge of the probe is the only part touching.
I think we figured it out.
I must have put it on the corner the first time, the extra depth on the first mess up was the thickness of the probe’s over hanging bits.
I think the rest of the nonsense was caused by me pulling the machine out of level when I had to pull it out of the enclosure to reconnect the X axis limit switch after it somehow got pulled out.
Thank you, gents. Very cool of you all to hang around to help out.
Appreciate ya!
