So I have a Shapeoko Pro5. I just re-surfaced my spoil board. I have a .005" step in the cut using a 1.38 diameter fly cutter in the x-axis.
Question: How does one trammel/zero out all the 3-axis if needed?
Thank for the help,
KAP

How close are you looking to get? I think you can get it within 0.002" (0.05mm) or better with a drill blank & a master square.
If you’re looking for more accuaracy, a tramming arm or an arm with a dial indicator is common
Super-accurate, first I align the spindle with the Z-axis, then tram the entire Z carriage to the table, rather than just the motor mount.
Thank you for the reply. Question: What do I turn/screw/adjust on the 3-axis to align the spindle
See the discussion on this in the VFD instructions:
(pg. 18)
That’s what I did and it seems to have worked well.
