Trial license expired, how do I use basic version?

I just got a CNC and went to carve, but it told me the license was expired which is true. How do I use the free non pro version for a few months?

Thank you.
Phil

Do “About” (in Windows it’s Help | About, Mac OS Carbide Create | About) then click on the “Open Data Directory” button and go into the Carbide Create directory thus revealed and delete the license.txt file, then restart Carbide Create.

There is no license file.

What difficulty are you using using the functionality which is bundled with the Carbide 3D machine.

Trying to do first carve on new CNC

It should work to:

  • create toolpaths in a .c2d file
  • save the file
  • load the .c2d file into Carbide Motion to extract the toolpaths and send them to the machine

If this isn’t working, let us know step-by-step:

  • what you did
  • what you expected
  • what actually happened

I did not have Carbide Motion installed. Is this used with UGS or Candle? Or instead of. My issue is too many software pieces that have some of the same functionality and I think they are stepping on each other. I have contacted Genmitsu already regarding what software is needed and how to setup. I’ll hold off on this piece for now. I’m in a holding pattern right now. I appreciate the assistance. I thought it was a simple license /version issue.

If you do not have a Carbide 3D machine, you will need to purchase a Carbide Create Pro license:

Carbide Motion is the Carbide 3D communication/control program and is the equivalent to UGS or Candle.

Ok, I never realized the requirement for a Carbide machine. I’m not sure about pro then vs. Easel.
Thank you
