Trying to find source of screws

I have a Shapeoko 5 Pro with the 65mm spindle. Recently, I found two screws on the table. They’re 4mm panhead black screws with 5mm long threads. A 2.5mm Allen wrench fits them.

I can’t find where they came from.

Older posts say screws this size come from the bearing block oil ports, but (a) those seem to have all their screws and (b) those aren’t panheads on my machine (unless I’m looking in the wrong place, of course)

Any suggestions?

The only thing I can think of at this point is to disassemble the Z axis to look for the source of the missing screws, but I thought I should ask here before doing that.

Thanks in advance.

My guess is the linear bearings. Welcome to the grub screw club !

Use a flash light to check all the X and Z bearings .
Look along the rails. 4 bearings per Axis.

Just to close this out: they came from the bottom of the bottom bearing blocks on the Z axis, one each side. I had to get an inspection mirror to look up inside the Z assembly to see them.

Thanks for following up on where they came from, helps document where to look for other folks.
